A Whim or Sense of Pride?

I used to believe in the notion that buying things that are less important is a whim - or impractical. Just recently, I have realized that owning a stuff - the fruit of my labor - is not really a matter of impracticality, but a matter of SENSE of Pride. For a person whose monthly income is just enough to support a family and whose material belongings are often gifts from friends, acquiring material things out of his hardwork is, indeed, a dream come true - something that would give him a SENSE OF PRIDE...
